Meet Sanchez, a charming senior boy radiating happiness and warmth. Born in August 2017, Sanchez has matured into a delightful companion, eager to share his golden years with an adult household. With his exuberant tail wag and dazzling smile, he makes new friends effortlessly. He truly thrives in the company of his family, appreciating a home where his humans are present more often than not.

Sanchez has a soft spot for robust toys, especially enjoying a good game of tug-of-war. While soft toys don’t survive long against his enthusiastic play, the joy he gets from playtime is undeniable. Sanchez responds well to his name and knows how to sit, but he's still a work in progress when it comes to obedience training. He would benefit from a patient hand to help him focus and master more advanced skills over time.

Though he approaches other canine friends with excitement, Sanchez's social manners could use a little refinement. He can be a bit overly curious, which some dogs might find uncomfortable, but with continued guidance in socialization, he's sure to make plenty of new pals. Importantly, he's never shown aggression; he just has a unique style that requires gentle redirection.

Sanchez eagerly seizes any opportunity for a walk, where he indulges in sniffing, exploring, and rolling in long grass. He's quite strong on the lead, but with a chest harness and some verbal cues, he's manageable and cooperative. While once not in the best of health, Sanchez has since been thoroughly vetted. His mild hip dysplasia and arthritis are being effectively managed with joint supplements, allowing him to enjoy his outdoor adventures comfortably.

Please note, Sanchez is not quite suited for homes with cats or other small pets, but he's more than willing to be your loyal comrade whenever you step through the door or snuggle on the couch.
