About Tala
I’m 8 years old and I am a beautiful princess! I just love cuddles and kisses and belly rubs. I’m very well behaved and only bark when someone comes up the driveway - I have to protect my family! I like sleeping in my foster parent’s bed, and I’d like to continue to sleep in my furever family’s bed as well. I also love love love my brother, Malo, and my food! I will sometimes paw and whine at you if you’re eating and you’re not sharing, but I will listen to you if you tell me to stop. I don’t like wet grass but am very well toilet trained. I will go to the bathroom outside unless it’s raining in which case if you put a pee pad down for me, I’ll use it. I also like it if my foster parents put a pee pad down for me if they’re going out for too long. I’m fine to have baths and my nails clipped, and love laying in the sun in the morning. I have a joint lead with my brother, Malo, and we walk really well together. I’m a happy-go-lucky fluffy girl and I can’t wait to find my furever home!
Medical notes
8 year old besties Malo and Tala are desexed and microchipped. They are up-to-date with vaccinations as well as flea, tick, intestinal worm and heartworm prevention. Annual C5 vaccinations will be due 3rd March 2026.
They have both had a full health checks including bloods and are in good health. They have recently had dentals.

Adoption details
Chihuahua Rescue QLD Inc. is not a first to apply rescue group.We re-home our dogs based on the best possible family we can find them.
The first step to adopting a dog from us is to fill out an expression of interest form.
We encourage you to provide as much detail as possible about your family and your home as this helps us make sure we match you with the most suitable dog.

Due to the large volume of inquiries we are unable to respond to all applications. If you are considered suitable for the dog you have applied for you will be contacted witihin one week of applying.
Please note: we do not organise any meet and greet without a completed expression of interest form.
Our adoption process involves:
1) Completing online application form - only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
2) Arranging a meet and greet with the dogs foster carer, after which we ask you to take 24 hours to make a decision about whether you want to adopt this dog
3) A brief home visit and yard check from one of our volunteers
4) Adoption trial spanning four weeks.
We ask that you pay the dogs adoption fee at the beginning of the adoption trial, however this will be refunded if for any reason the dog is not working out in your home within the four week period. We offer a four week adoption trial to make sure that you have plenty of time for your new dog to settle into your home and so we can offer you full support during this period and beyond.
We offer a free health check with our vets at Browns Plains, Jindalee or Kedron vet clinic after you’ve adopted your dog and every dog in our care is up to date with all vet work.
