Meet Alvin – The Gentle Pup with the Sweetest Soul

Shy at heart but full of potential, Alvin is a beautiful boy just waiting for his moment to shine. He absolutely adores other dogs and finds all his confidence and comfort in their company. Watching him bounce through the yard with his tail wagging and a big goofy grin is pure joy. He yaps excitedly during play and happily trots alongside his doggy friends, often chasing them when they’re playing with toys—even if he’s not quite sure what to do with them himself.

Still learning to trust humans, Alvin prefers to watch from a safe distance until he feels secure. Once he’s formed a bond, especially when another dog is nearby, he’ll start to accept gentle pats and even enjoy belly rubs. He has the most adorable habit of sitting up on his hind legs to beg for treats, especially if they’re chicken necks 🥹

He sleeps soundly in a crate overnight with his dog buddies and is toilet trained in that space. Inside the house, he’s still finding his feet with toilet training. Taking him outside regularly and rewarding him either happy praise will instil good habbits.

Alvin comes indoors if his dog friends go first and still needs plenty of reassurance in that space. Outdoors is his happy place—sunbathing, exploring, and relaxing in the grass! A backyard is a must for Alvin 🌲

Leash walks are possible and he’s a quiet companion most of the time but will yap when excited or nervous, especially around new people. There’s no aggression—just his way of expressing uncertainty.

Alvin must go to a home with another friendly dog. He truly relies on his canine companions for emotional support and direction. A calm household with access to a secure yard and someone home often would be perfect for him. A retired person or someone who works from home would suit him well, as he enjoys frequent short outings throughout the day.

Alvin will blossom into a sweet companion who makes your heart melt with his goofy run, wagging tail, and little treat dance.
