About Maisie
Maisie is a super friendly and social staghound cross (with possibly some Border Collie in her too)! She’s a total snuggle bug who loves nothing more than sofa cuddles with her humans. Currently living with two groodles, Maisie is very dog social and gets along well with other dogs. She’s house-trained and is quickly mastering her lead walking skills. Her foster parents think she’s incredibly smart, and they’re right! In just a couple of weeks, Maisie has already learned her new name, “sit,” “come,” “wait,” and “touch.”
Maisie’s latest obsession is chasing balls! 🎾 She’s got a ton of energy and is a fetch superstar—she’s great at bringing the ball back, too! As long as she gets her two walks a day (where she can run and chase to her heart’s content), Maisie is a relaxed and calm companion at home. She’s a very good girl who loves to please, and with a little time and attention on her training, she’ll be the best girl she can be. Maisie also lives with two teenagers, who she absolutely adores. She loves following them around and even snuggles up with them on the bed!
Ideal Home:
Maisie would thrive in a home where someone is around often to give her the attention she craves. She’s a people-pleaser, so she’ll want to be by your side as much as possible. During the day, she’s happy to relax and take it easy, but she’ll need her two daily walks to keep her active and mentally engaged. Maisie is best suited for someone who is looking for an energetic, playful dog that also enjoys cozy time at home. Because of her love for adventure, Maisie’s new home will need to have a high fence. She’s can be an escape artist when she’s feeling adventurous, so a secure yard is a must!
Energy Level:
Maisie is a working dog at heart, and she’s got plenty of energy to burn! She loves running, chasing balls, and being active. However, once she’s had her walks and exercise, she’s content to chill at home, napping next to her humans. She’d be perfect for an active person or family who enjoys outdoor activities and also loves a laid-back companion at home.
Suitability for Children:
Maisie is super gentle and friendly with kids but can be a bit bouncy, especially when excited. She’d do best in a home with older, more experienced kids who can handle her enthusiastic nature. She’s absolutely smitten with her teenage foster siblings, and she’ll be your best buddy in no time!
If Maisie sounds like the perfect companion for you, she can’t wait to meet her new family and start making memories. Whether it’s playing fetch or snuggling on the couch, Maisie is ready to bring lots of love and joy into her forever home!

We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
