Meet Sparky, our spunky little chihuahua!

At almost 10years old, Sparky is very particular about the home he is looking for, he's spent many years learning his likes and dislikes, and we have received a full report of his wants for his new forever home!

Sparky has had some challenging experiences in his life, and is looking for a home that will be small dog savvy, able to read his body language and follow his cues for guidance. Sparky does not like being picked up, and we will be looking for a home that is understanding and respectful of this, he will however crawl into your lap and lovingly receive a little head scratch, he will look into your eyes like he is staring into your soul, and you will fall in love instantly!

Sparky is not a high-energy dog in his old age, and you will often find him waddling along after you whilst you are at home (he generally gives himself away with his cute little snorts), however this little man still adores his daily walks, as long as they are short, leisurely, and allow a lot of time for stopping and sniffing.

Sparky must be the only pet in the home and ideally needs a home where someone is there with him more often than not.

Sparky has some age-related health conditions, including a major dental which has left him with very few teeth and an ongoing soft food diet, our wonderful vet team can chat to you about his health when you come down to the shelter for a meet and greet.
