About Roxie & Jessie - 8 & 4 Yr Old Tenterfield Terriers
Roxie, tan and white, is an 8-year-old Tenterfield Terrier who is a loyal dog who will become someone’s best friend. She enjoys being petted, and will encourage this with gentle nudges.
Jessie is a 4-year-old black headed Tenterfield Terrier. She’s a beautiful soul who loves cuddling up to you on the lounge but is happy with her own space.
Roxie and Jessie have been fostered together and have bonded and need to be with each other in their new home.
Roxie and Jessie are looking for a patient loving family. Jessie loves getting out and walks well on a lead, she does require guidance and needs to learn commands as this is all very new to her. Roxie is afraid of the lead and walking will take some time. Both have been used to be inside when the family are home.
Roxie and Jessie are:
- Toilet trained to use the puppy mats
- We don’t have a doggy door, but they would learn this very quickly
- Requires little exercise
- Well behaved and understand basic commands like stop, stay and no.
- Quiet
- Both sleep in their unlocked crate together at night, but during the day they are outside.
- Would suit someone who has a yard and is home regularly. Perhaps someone who works from home or part-time, or retired.
- OK with children over the age of 8. Not tested with young children
- Have only interacted with one dog and that went well. The dogs next door don’t worry them
- Not tested with cats and other pets.
- They are both kind dogs who are timid when you first meet them but once they’re used to you will give you nothing but love
- Have short fur and will require regular brushing. They do shed, but not a lot.
Roxie and Jessie are in foster care in Maitland, NSW. They are both desexed, vaccinated and treated for fleas and worms and have been microchipped and are available for adoption. Their adoption fee is $800.
