About Dozer
Hi, I’m Dozer 🐾
I’m 1 year and 11 months old, and I’ve spent 14 months at BARC waiting for my person. That’s most of my life in a kennel… but I still get excited every time I hear footsteps.
I’m a clever boy and I’ve learned so much while I’ve been here. I know sit, I wait politely for my food like a proper gentleman, I walk really nicely on lead, and I know “bed” too—I’ll happily take myself off and settle down when asked. I’ve really tried to be the kind of dog someone would be proud to take home… I’ve just been waiting for that someone.
I also LOVE toys 🧸—give me something squeaky or something I can carry around and I’m the happiest boy for a while. It’s one of the moments you can really see me light up.
I adore people. I try so hard to be noticed. I lean in, I watch you leave, and I always hope you’ll come back for me.
I can walk past other dogs just fine, but at home I need to be your only dog.
I’m still here. Still hoping. Still ready.
