Meet Flora, a stunning Alaskan Malamute cross born in August 2023, ready to become a cherished member of a loving family! Adoring and people-oriented, Flora thrives on companionship and is eager to welcome her new human pack into her world. A true Malamute, she requires a household that can devote ample time and attention to meet her social needs, making her a perfect fit for those who understand the loyalty and love of this pack-oriented breed.

Flora requires a firm and consistent leader, preferably someone experienced with the breed, who can bring out the best in her charming personality. She's already learned the command "sit" and is keen to please with treat training. However, she will require ongoing behavioral and lead training to channel her youthful energy appropriately. Flora is highly social, and exposure to different environments will enrich her life and allow her to blossom.

This playful pup is a true bundle of high energy, and to keep her mentally and physically happy, daily walks or runs are essential. She will benefit significantly from having a large, secure backyard with high fencing where she can stretch her legs and explore. Flora is very dog-social and introduces herself with a charming play bow, though her enthusiasm can sometimes be a little overwhelming for some canine friends.

For her new family, Flora promises a lifetime of affection and loyalty. However, it’s important to note that she isn’t suited for a home with cats or small pocket pets. The majestic sable coat that she wears demands regular grooming to prevent matting and shedding, ensuring she remains the beautiful, stunning girl she is.

Flora is located at our Charmhaven Shelter. Her $550 adoption fee covers microchipping, desexing, lifetime registration, current vaccination, flea and worming treatments 🐾
