About Cheezel
Introducing Cheezel!
Cheezel is a Domestic Short Hair born 9th September 2024.
Cheezel & his sister were taken to another facility as unmicrochipped strays & unfortunately no one came looking for them.
When we saw Cheezel's photo it was clear he had some deformities or injuries to his arm & tail so we took him straight in to see our vets. He has now seen two different vets who have differing conclusions. One says his arm & tail are birth defects and the other has said they are potentially the result of abuse. Both vets agree that he is unfazed by both issues and to rectify them would cause un-necessary pain. He can still use his front arm and still has control of his paw while playing & grabbing things. He has shown no signs of pain or discomfort, so we have decided to not proceed with amputations. Cheezel will need a loving & supporting family where he can continue to flourish and be loved despite his differences.
Cheezel is an absolute pleasure to be around. He's so sweet, playful, affectionate & a hilarious little character all-round.
Since being at the facility Cheezel has been introduced to other cats & kittens and he has enjoyed playing with them all. For this reason we believe he would be suitable to live with other cats, or be the spoilt only "child" at home.
Cheezel is an incredibly playful boy and we haven't found a toy that he doesn't enjoy playing with. Some of the favourites are a tunnel, toy mouse on a string, feather wands and tinsel balls.
Cheezel will be rehomed to a family who will keep him as an inside cat only.
Cheezel is litter trained and would make a wonderful addition to most families.
If you think you could be that furever family for Cheezel, please contact our friendly staff via email at ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com or 0499 900 272 to organise a meet and greet.
His adoption fee is $315 & this includes his desexing, first vaccination and lifetime registration. He is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
Cheezel is currently located in East Maitland.
Medical notes
Deformities with his tail & front leg. Neither issue requires medical treatment & they do not cause him pain
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
