About Rex & Roger (Located in Wantirna South)
đ° Meet Roger & Rex â Special Bonded Netherland Dwarf Brothers Looking for Their Forever Home đ°
Roger and Rex are among the smallest bunnies weâve ever met! Both are smaller than most adult guinea pigs, but they make up for their tiny size with amazing big personalities and a strong bond that makes them truly special.
These boys are full of character, confidence, and charm once they get to know you. Their love for each other will heal any broken heart. They are truly inseparable, showing so much love by affectionately grooming each other, exploring together with such curiosity, lounging around in their favourite bunny beds, and eating endless amounts of hay.
Due to being bred for their small size, Roger and Rex were sadly born with congenital kidney disease (CKD). This is a lifelong condition, but it is currently well managed with once daily medication. They require routine blood and urine tests every 6 months to monitor their kidney function and ensure they remain as healthy as possible.
Roger and Rex are now approaching their senior years, and weâre looking for an experienced, rabbit-savvy home that understands the needs of rabbits with CKD and is committed to providing them with the care and attention they require.
Their new home must be prepared to:
⢠Administer daily medication (oral)
⢠Daily personal care grooming
⢠Schedule and attend 6-monthly vet visits for blood and urine tests
⢠Monitor for any changes in behaviour or health
⢠Provide a calm, loving, and enriched environment where they can enjoy their golden years
These two are such wonderful companions with a lot of love to give. While caring for rabbits with special needs isnât for everyone, for the right person, Roger and Rex will bring endless joy, companionship, and plenty of bunny antics to your home.
If you are confident in caring for rabbits with CKD and are ready to offer a safe, loving space for these deserving brothers, weâd love to hear from you.
Please complete our adoption application to learn more about Roger and Rex and speak with us about their daily care and personalities.
