About Bailey
Are you looking for a large, sweet and cuddly goofball to become your new best friend? …then Bailey is your man!
Bailey is located at Rescue Hub kennels and he is searching for a long-term foster carer or his forever home.
🐾 Breed: Staffy x Bully
🎂 Age: Microchip states 1.5 years old, however may be around 3 years old
👦 Gender: Male
🏥 Health: Desexed, vaccinated, worm & flea treated + slight skin condition
👧🏻 Kids: Untested, therefore older teenagers who are dog savvy
🐕 Animal companions: Dog social from what we have seen - could potentially share the home with another canine who is similar in size, energy levels and play style. No cats or birds
🐾Bailey loves his human company, so would prefer a home where someone was home for at least some of the day, he would not cope been left alone all day.
📍 Location: Rescue Hub in Leppington, NSW
Bailey was found wandering the streets last year and was taken to the pound where he was desperate to be saved due to overcrowding.
We did not have the space to bring Bailey to our kennels right away, so he was staying in boarding until we had a kennel available for him. Bailey has now joined our kennels, and we are starting to learn all about this gorgeous boy.
He is a sweet, goofy boy who wants nothing more than to be in the presence of his humans. Bailey will be your shadow - wherever you go, he will be there! Snuggles and pats are high on his priority list and he will use his big head to nuzzle his way in for the best hugs 🥰
He will definitely need a home where his human companions are home more often than not, to give him the sense of security and company he needs.
Bailey enjoys some toy time, especially those that squeak. He will test your strength in a game of tug of war and will definitely need sturdy toys that can outlast his chew.
From what we have seen so far, Bailey is dog social and not reactive. He has made friends with our long term resident Alina, and they enjoy going on their walks together (this gorgeous boy walks well on lead).
Bailey may be able to share the home with another canine who is similar in size, energy levels and play style (a meet and greet will be required upon successful application).
Bailey will need to have secure colorbond fencing, as he is a clever boy who will find a way to explore.
He has not been tested around children, therefore we will only consider applications with kids who are older teenagers and are dog savvy (this goofball could forget his size and knock little ones over).
Bailey will need patient, compassionate and dedicated humans who can allow him time to decompress in his new home. He can be a little unsure of new situations/environments so taking life slowly to begin with while he adjusts will help him thrive. He is still being toilet trained, an area our volunteers are working hard on with him (please note: dogs living shelter life do not have the routine, comforts and opportunities a home can offer - it takes time for dogs to learn the correct areas to toilet, something Bailey will learn quickly with the right guidance in a home).
We want nothing more than to see Bailey in his dream home. Could you be his perfect match?🩵
Medical notes
He has a slight skin condition , currently on Cytopoint medication
