About Boi
Introducing Boi!
Boi is an English Staffy x born 28th June 2020.
Boi was brought into the facility as a stray, along with another dog from the household. While he was microchipped his owner wasn't in a position to look after either dog so Boi is now on the lookout for a new, loving family. While we don't know much about his home life, we do know that he has lived with children.
Since being at the facility Boi has been a beautiful boy to care for. While he does get a little boisterous at times, it's mainly just him trying to climb up you for a cuddle. He LOVES human attention & affection and he isn't afraid to beg for it. He's a very playful boy and loves his toys. We've also noticed that he knows how to sit & lay down on command... although having a treat handy wouldn't go astray!
While Boi has previously lived with another dog, he hasn't liked the other dogs we have at the facility. While this could simply be a result of living in the stressful kennel environment, we are recommending he be the only dog at home.
Boi tested quite well with cats and wanted nothing more that to walk (more like run) in the opposite direction. We feel that he could be suitable to live with cats, if given a slow & controlled introduction to them.
Boi didn't show much interest in our rooster, however this meeting was done through a fence and his reaction may differ if he had free-roaming pocket pets in front of him.
He still has so much to learn about the world and would love to be in a home where he is included as a member of the family. Boi will thrive in an environment that guides him with positive direction and lots of love and attention.
Boi has shown no signs of food aggression or separation anxiety since being at the facility.
Boi's adoption fee is $500 and includes his desexing & lifetime registration. Boi is also regularly treated for flea and worms and is up to date with his vaccinations.

If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
