About Raph
Meet the divine love bug, Raphael, a 4 1/2 yo frenchie with the sweetest, cuddliest personality.
Raphael is a cat and human-friendly Velcro dog, that loves snuggles, and is always being around his humans, enjoys his walks and a very good boy in the car
Snuggling into his foster mum or foster cat’s side is his favourite way to wind down
He has taken to training like a duck to water and has learned really quickly and eagerly. He is always keen to learn if it earns him treats!
Raph lives with a cat in his foster home, and while he is curious he respects the cat’s boundaries and they are fast becoming play friends.
However other dogs make Raphael nervous, we assume he remembers times when other dogs have hurt him and he wants to be sure that won’t happen again. It’s best he be the only dog in the home and he avoids dog parks on his daily adventures out of the home.
Other than reactive behaviour with other dogs, which we handle with distraction and allowing him to move away, Raphael is great to walk and very fun, he loves to say hi to people he walks past, sits when asked and loves his regular treats to let him know he is being a good boy.
Raph is ideal for someone(s) who has a great WFH balance and can walk him daily. Apartment life is fine for him as long as he has his daily activities outside.
Medical notes
Raph is desexed, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations and parasite control.
Raph has had spinal surgery in his previous home to correct a disk compression. It was successful and is not an ongoing concern, although preventing excessive jumping etc would be a good idea.
