About Leia
‘More than meets the eye’ is a good place to start when describing this amazing little dog. Leia is not only a sweet natured and angelic looking pup with fur that shimmers in the sun and is like velvet to touch; she also has many qualities that are unique for a dog of her age that would make her the perfect companion and family addition.
In a short period of time, Leia adapted to our daily routine and got along with her foster siblings immediately. Leia is a medium energy dog that has a happy, engaging and playful attitude towards life. She is intelligent, learns quickly and is a bunch of fun and joy to spend time with. For a beginner Leia walks well on lead, is well behaved at dog parks; getting along with dogs of all shapes and sizes and has good recall for a pup. Leia has spent time at off lead beaches and although she is curious she stays close to her pack. In fact she likes to ‘check in’ with her human periodically. Leia sits and waits for her food and is highly food motivated; very beneficial for training. Leia loves water; she will fetch a ball or a stick and play tug for as long as you are willing. Leia loves showing off her agility and athletic ability jumping to heights that will astound. She equally loves a nice towel down and bone after the morning of ‘pool diving’ is done. Leia is an affectionate girl who will fall asleep in your arms if you let her. Leia is toilet and crate trained, great in the car, very affectionate and very loyal. Leia is a ray of sunshine that will brighten your day and will want to be involved in everything life has to offer. She will thrive with an active individual, couple or family who set strong boundaries and invest in working further on her impulse control and have time to invest in this very special girls potential.
• To ensure a reply to enquiries about possible adoption, please tell us a little about yourself and your location and contact details. That we can then pass onto their foster carer and the carer will reach out.
• If you are renting your home, please ensure you have approval for a pet BEFORE submitting your application.
• Interstate adoption is available at adopter’s expense. Please contact us for a quote. *Pups under the age of 12wks will not be eligible to fly until 13wks, the carer will stay in contact until the pup finishes its vetting and fly’s out.
• Due to being a rescue, Knowledge of breed and size is not always known.
• If a dog listed has any medical issues, we will list them in their BIO.
• ALL dogs/pups will come with all proof of vet work

Contact our friendly team for more information on the pets you would like to find out more about or to arrange a meet & greet with the animal and the foster carer.
Meet the animal and chat to the foster carer to make sure this animal is the right one for you, your home, family and circumstances.
We recommend you have a chat as a family and a think, make sure everyone is on board and happy with the choice to add the animal to your family.
Contact the team to advise your decision either way....if this one isn't the right fit we will work with you to try and find the best match.
If this is the one, we can start the adoption process. Complete the application to adopt and promptly return the application. A home/yard check may be required by one of our team members, if this is not possible photos showing fenced and undercover areas will be required. Once application is approved, you will be invoiced. Pay the adoption fees via electronic transfer, send proof of payment to admin.
We will advise the you and foster carer the animal is clear to leave and you can arrange collection of your newest family member.
*We do have a "cooling off" period please see these terms on adoption application form.
Please note; We do offer interstate adoptions where suitable for the animal in care. All transport costs are at the adopters expense. However we will, where possible, assist with airport transfers. In liu of a meet and greet interstate adopters must have a phone interview/conversation with the foster carer. Yard/Home photos will be required with all interstate applications.
