About Nash
Melvin is a sweet but conflicted boy who needs a patient and understanding home to help him build confidence. Initially timid, he warms up with time and becomes playful and affectionate. He enjoys being around people but can be a little unsure, especially with handling, so positive reinforcement and gentle introductions will be key to his success.
On walks, Melvin is curious and alert, sometimes bunny-hopping to check out his surroundings. He enjoys sniffing and exploring but can get a bit overwhelmed, so he'll thrive with a calm and structured routine. He has shown potential to engage in play with other dogs but needs guidance in reading social cues.
Melvin is looking for an experienced, patient home that can help him navigate the world with positive reinforcement. With time and trust, he's sure to blossom into a loving companion!
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
