About Winston
Winston: The Pocket Rocket Ready for Launch.
Meet Winston, a six-month-old Jack Russell Terrier pup who's currently hanging out in foster care at Pacific Paradise on the stunning Sunshine Coast, just waiting to add a little sunshine to YOUR life!
Winston joined our Village after his previous family, bless their hearts, realised that a Jack Russell's energy levels are more "Energizer Bunny on espresso" than "lap dog lounging." No judgement here – we just want to find Winston a home that gets what it means to own a JRT!
This little dude came to us a tad shy, but boy, has he blossomed!
He's found his brave, and now he's a super social, adventurous fella who loves nothing more than charging around the yard, having dramatic bark-offs with his foster sister Maisey (very typical JRT). He's basically a tiny, four-legged drama king in the best possible way.
Winston's Likes:
• Car rides (shotgun, obviously!)
• Outings, especially to the beach (sand between his paws = pure bliss)
• Walks (he prefers to lead the way, so a harness is a must)
• Doggie pals (the more, the merrier)
• His cat friend (he gets a little overenthusiastic with the greetings, but it's all in good fun)
• Hanging out in his crate (his safe and cozy chill zone)
• His people (that's YOU, hopefully!)
• Snacks (he's not quite sure what to do with dental chews yet, but he's working on it)
• Wet food (kibble's good, but wet food is a party in his mouth)
• Toys (especially the soft, squeaky ones and nylon bones for serious chewing sessions)
• Being a neighbourhood watch dog (he'll let you know if a neighbour dares to touch their bin!)
• BBQs, Kids and Pools!
Winston's Dislikes (A Surprisingly Short List for Such a Vivacious Pup):
• The vet (still a bit scary, but he's getting braver!)
• Initially getting his feet dried (but now it's a game - He'll even stand on the towel if you ask!)
Important Winston-y Details:
• Toileting is going great! The occasional indoor oopsies happen when his foster mum misses his signals, but he's mostly doing his business on command in the garden.
• He sleeps like a log in his crate from his last toilet break (around 10-10:30 pm) until about 6:30 am.
• He's already desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, and up-to-date on his flea and worm treatments. He's also had his dew claws removed.
• He's a huge fan of making you laugh
Winston's adoption fee is $795,
We do not adopt interstate.
