***adoption pending*** hi! my name is poppy, i am a black de-sexed female seeking a new home. My mum was a great dane and my dad was a great dane x ridgey, my human family adopted me from the pound when i was just 8 weeks old and have loved me dearly. My human mum & dad are going their seperate ways and unfortunately they have to move into smaller dwellings which isn't going to work for a big dog like me. My mum says: poppy does not have a mean bone in her body. She is a loving, friendly, submissive and excitable dog. She has been known to bow down to a chihuahua and her best friend is a staffie called jetson. She is very well socialised and loves all dogs, but does not quite understand when some dogs do not feel the same way about her. Poppy has had basic training. We sent her to an academy for doggy boot camp and she came back knowing the commands of sit, stay, heel, drop and also how to be a formidable watchdog. If only people knew she was afraid of her own shadow. She is wonderful with babies and children, constantly showing caesar a lot of love with licks and nudges. She is still a puppy, though, and will be for another year, so she will get excited when meeting new people and prance around like a horse. He weighs over 45kg and although she's on the smaller side of a great dane, she is still a large dog, so she would suit an owner who is used to having a medium to large dog's presence and a property that has enough space for her prancing and as well as lounging. Although, she is playful, she does not need a huge amount of exercise like some other dogs, and she also loves lounging around, especially in front of a fire on cold, winter nights.
