About Maisey
If you are an experienced and dedicated animal lover looking for a project and have the time and patience to invest in helping a sweet girl find her way in the world, Maisey would love to meet you. If you cannot fulfil the above please do not apply. Maisey is very comfortable around people and is generally accepting of other canines but needs further socialisation with an experienced dog handler/trainer. Unfortunately Maisey has an angular limb deformity in her front legs which begins from the shoulder and works down through the carpal valgus. She may also have a neurological disorder as she is a little unbalanced. On observation Maisey appears very stiff and tends to jump around rather than move smoothly. She can sometimes be timid but this again is difficult to read because of her body posture. She is completely unphased by her condition and has no idea she is a bit awkward but this often upsets other dogs as she approaches them awkwardly and barks unnecessarily. Maisey's movements are much more controlled when she is calm so her new human companion will need the experience and commitment to settle her and have her feel secure in various situations.

Adoption details
Save-A-Dog Scheme operates as an adoption agency for our dogs and cats. We spend a substantial amount of time getting to know our animals and we try to match each animal's needs with the new home's needs. We don't work on the same principle as purchasing from a shop or on a 'first come first served' basis. When you visit us, you can be sure we'll do our best to work with you to help find the right companion animal for your home and lifestyle.
