Sebastian was surrendered at 8 weeks old with a fracture of his femur, this healed successfully with bandaging and rest. He has completely recovered and has no problem with mobility, nor does he have any restrictions or additional care needs. He has a bony lump on his back left leg where the bone has remodelled, however this will not cause any foreseeable issues. He may be at risk of developing arthritis in the left knee joint in his senior years, but it is just as likely that he won’t.
ABOUT:
We think something went a little wrong in the body distribution system when Seb was born, because we’re fairly sure he’s actually a Golden Retriever stuck in the body of a kitten. He’s a very good boy with a lot of love to give, and his excitement for life is contagious. For someone so small, he takes up an extraordinary amount of space on the couch, in your bed, and also in your heart (aww!).
The phrase ‘just happy to be here’ was written for Sebastian, and every day is the best day ever for him. It doesn’t matter what you’re doing, he’ll be right there to keep you company, entertain you, or climb your leg screeching until you rock him in your arms like a baby. Wherever you are, that’s where he wants to be, and there’s not much that phases him. He even likes to chase the vacuum, and splash around in the shower!
Sebastian’s favourite pastime is going to Bunnings in his cat pram to help his Foster Mum sniff out yellow sticker plants (IYKYK), and would likely adapt well to harness training or a backpack for endless adventures as he grows. He loves snuggling up on laps, getting picked up for cuddles, and sleeps curled up in his Foster Mum’s arms or wrapped around his Foster Dad’s neck, hiding under his beard!
He is respectful towards the older cats in his foster home, giving them space when they need it, and heeding their warnings if he gets too boisterous. He is, however, entirely disrespectful to his 1yo foster brother (it’s mutual) and the pair have a fantastic time wrestling, playing, being nosey, and doing chaotic zoomies around the house.
It can’t be overstated just how perfect Sebastian is, and how well he will adapt into most homes. He’s a confident little guy who just loves love! He will thrive best in a home with another laid back, energetic cat or kitten to snuggle up and play with, and with humans who are able to give him lots of affection and attention.
