Hi, I'm Ruju and I'm a very handsome 2.5 year old boy. Since arriving at Greyhound Rescue I've been learning so many new things.

I've been living it up in foster care for the last couple of months and boy is the world a big place! I've learnt not to be scared of the TV or washing machine, stairs are no problem, I even have my own dog door so I can take myself out to the toilet whenever I need to go.

I'll even help out with the gardening, I don't mind the lawnmower and I love to show my appreciation by doing zoomies in the yard.

I like to be everywhere you are, you could say I'm like velcro! I love pats and scritches and I'll happily lay at your feet. I would also love to share the couch with you too.

I like to sleep in my foster parents bedroom so I can be close. I sleep all night through in my own bed. When I wake up in the morning I politely go and say good morning to foster dad and mum, have a sniff and a pat, then sometimes when they don't have to get up for work straight away, I get to lay on the bed with them before breakfast.

Speaking of food, I love it! I'll eat pretty much everything. I'm very polite when my food is being made, I wait outside the kitchen until it's ready.

I love puzzles and enrichment each day too. It keeps my brain busy and sometimes helps me relax. Oh and I love toys!

I'm still building my confidence when we go out on walks. Sometimes I'm a bit scared of other dogs or bikes so we take things nice and slow and go to quiet places. I love it when we go in the car and go for a bushwalk. I'm a great traveller and love the car

I'm still learning to be on my own and I'd love it if you worked from home. I'd love a quiet home where we can take things at my pace. I'm a smart boy and my foster parents say I’ve made great progress and that I also make them laugh every day.

To make sure everyone is happy, we match each hound with the right family, and we provide lots of support along the way!

All hounds are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm (including heartworm) treated. The adoption fee includes our Adopter Kit containing a martingale collar, leash, muzzle and useful information to help you get your new hound settled in.
