About Marsupalami
• Currently living in a home
• Comfortable with alone time
• Toilet trained
Bonjour! Je suis Marsulapalami!
If you’re wondering about the origin of my name, it’s taken from a very cute French cartoon character from the 90s (1990s for clarification!). As it’s a bit of a tongue-twister, I have several nicknames including ‘Mars,’ ‘Salami,’ and ‘Soup’. I’m an extremely striking boy with the most stunning blue/brindle colouring (come to think of it, ‘Blue Steel’ would be a perfect nickname!) and I’m still a youngster at just 3 years of age.
For the past few months I’ve been living in a foster home with a wonderful family and I’m pretty sure I’ve made a good impression, however I’ll let their words speak for themselves:
"Marsupalami walks well on leash, usually on a loose lead, although may pull occasionally when near other dogs. He is comfortable with other greyhounds but can be unsure around unfamiliar dogs and will give a warning growl if uncomfortable. Toilet training is going well, with only occasional accidents. He gets on wonderfully with our 11-year-old child and copes well when left alone. Mars shows interest in toys and enrichment with no signs of resource-guarding observed; neither have we seen any signs of sleep startle. Marsupalami is very affectionate and loves attention, pats, leans, and even full-body hugs. He has a fantastic appetite and happily eats everything, including his worming tablets. He makes adorable “cheek puff” sounds when sleeping, like an old man. Despite his large size, he enjoys squeezing himself into small chairs."
I think they’ve captured the real ‘me’ perfectly. Please let the lovely peeps at Greyhound Rescue know if you have a Mars-sized gap in your home and heart.
Au revoir for now!
