Titan is 3.5 years old and is a working line German Shepherd that is looking for a home that he can call forever. Titan is currently in foster care and has come so far since we picked him up at the pound just a few weeks ago, this boy has come out of his shell and is starting to show his true, sweet self. Titan is ready to find a permanent home with someone that will help him on his rehabilitation journey long-term.
During his time in foster care, Titan has shown to be a big smooch with his people, he loves attention and is happy to meet everyone. Titan enjoys being brushed, although he doesn’t sit still for very long; he just wants to please and be told he is a good boy. Titan can get a little overstimulated at times, and will mouth in excitement, he is best suited to a home where everyone has experience with large-breed dogs and who are over the age of 10.
Titan is extremely clever, he picks things up quickly and is always willing to learn, motivated by both toys and treats, this boy has endless potential to learn new skills. Titan is still learning everyday manners and how to navigate the world, he has been left in a backyard for a very long time before coming to rescue and will need strict boundaries and a routine so that he knows what is expected of him.
Titan is obsessed with his ball; it is likely that a ball is the only friend he ever had and the only time he was interacted with. When his ball is out and human engage with fetch, he becomes quite fixated and can snatch in excitement. Titan has learned that his ball needs to stay outside, and that playtime is on his human’s terms.
Titan walks reasonably well on a lead, some pulling and sniffing of everything to begin with, but nothing unmanageable. When Titan sees another dog, he will bark at them to scare them off, he is easily redirected and wants to actively move away from them, he has not had much exposure in the past to other dogs and doesn’t know what to do when he sees them. Titan will need to work on actively ignoring other dogs, his new human needs to help him feel safe by not putting him in situations where he must interact with others. Titan would much prefer to be the only dog in his new home, he hasn’t been tested with cats or other small pets.
Titan forms a strong bond with his people and wants them to be around as much as possible, he is looking for a new home with someone that is home most of the time, so that he can follow you around, hoping that it is time for a game of fetch. Titan doesn’t mind being outside when his humans are home, he enjoys coming inside, especially in the evenings for a cuddle and to wind-down.
Titan was previously very stressed in the shelter environment; he has been learning to be calm and his foster carer’s have worked hard to introduce Titan to techniques to keep his arousal levels low. Titan is currently on medication to help with this; however, the plan is to eventually wean him off as he settles into his new home. Titan is looking for someone committed to his ongoing rehabilitation and integration into a loved family member.

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Puppies (2 months to 4 months) - $1000
Puppies (4 to 6 months) - $800
Adolescents (6 months to 1 year) - $700
Mature (1 year to 6 years) - $600
Senior (7 years plus) - $350
