About Lulu
Lulu is the full package! This tiny little fluffy is just about the cutest little girl both inside and out. She has a cheeky and sweet personality that warms your heart anytime you are with her. Lulu is so affectionate and full of life even doing the cutest little spins when she thinks a treat is coming your way. If there are cuddles on offer, she will be more than willing to accept them!
Lulu was surrendered to a rural pound after coming from a home with other small dogs and is currently in foster care with another well behaved, social small dog. She is confident around smaller sized dogs but can be overwhelmed by big dogs. She is not aggressive however will bark if she feels threatened. However, once she gets to know the other dog, and if they are gentle with her, then she is a very playful and friendly little girl. Lulu is teeny tiny in size, weighing around 3kg. She will only be rehomed to a house with another smaller sized dog who is confident and well trained who she would be able to have fun with daily.
While in foster care, Lulu has shown us what a wonderful little dog she is. She has learnt to live inside and is enjoying all the luxuries that brings including sleeping on her foster carers bed! She has learnt how to walk on a leash and has been very much enjoying trips to quiet local cafes and parks. She can be a little bit yappy - mostly following the lead of the resident dog barking at dogs passing but is not a nuisance barker. Her toilet training is a work in progress and while it’s improving a lot, she needs close management still. Lulu travels well in the car and sleeps through the night. Her fluffy coat will require regular grooming as she is a non-shedder so potential homes will need to factor this into routine costs of owning Lulu. She must be an inside dog who sleeps inside at night.
Out and about, Lulu is coming along really nicely as before coming to us she was only ever in a rural backyard, so everything was new to her. She can be a bit jumpy and overwhelmed with loud noises and traffic but recovers well. For this reason, we are looking to home her in a quieter area where her owner has the ability to slowly expose her to noises and continue to build up her confidence in new environments. Lulu’s foster carer’s report that she is ok to be left home alone with another dog for shorter periods of time. Lulu will require a secure home as she is small enough to even slip through the bars of a baby gate so you will need to make sure there are no small gaps under fencing, etc.
We are looking for a dog experienced home for Lulu where she will be a loved member of the family and given gold star care. Lulu will need a high-quality diet to ensure she is getting all the nutrients she needs, and her new owner should be willing to engage in regular teeth brushing as well to combat some early plaque development on her teeth that should be easy to conquer if not allowed to get out of control. Lulu needs a home where she will be taken out for daily exercise and provided with some mental stimulation at home, whether that is learning some tricks or being played with.
We will be looking to place Lulu in a home with another suitable doggie companion who is a stable role model for her. This ideally will be a smaller dog who is of a gentle but playful nature. Lulu has shown that she is good with children; however, due to still working on confidence we will be looking to rehome her with adults only at this stage. She is also currently living with a cat, and while she does bark a bit at the cat, she is not aggressive and should be fine to live with gentle, dog friendly felines in the home.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
