About Prairie
Prairie is an affectionate yet independent pup who quickly settled into her foster home and gained confidence in no time. While she enjoys attention, she isn't quite as clingy as her brother Haye-she's happy to snuggle but also comfortable doing her own thing. She loves belly rubs, though she doesn't fall into a trance like Haye does, and she enjoys spending time with people. Prairie met children of various ages during her foster stay and was confident and friendly with everyone she met.
She has a playful side and loved running around with the other dogs in her foster home, especially their young Kelpie, Benji. While she happily joined in games of fetch and tug-of-war, she was a little more independent than Haye, often exploring on her own or choosing when she wanted to engage. She enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it's playing or sunbathing with her dog friends. Prairie also loves chewing, especially on rope toys, pig's ears, and dried chicken feet, which helped with her teething.
Prairie is a curious girl who enjoys adventure, but she can be a bit more challenging on the lead than Haye due to her independent nature. She's intelligent and eager to learn, already picking up on commands like "bed" for crate time and beginning to learn "sit." She and Haye both had some anxiety around food at first, but with patience and love, they became more comfortable eating around people and other dogs.
With her mix of independence and affection, Prairie will thrive in a home that appreciates her playful, confident personality while continuing to guide her training. She's a fun-loving pup who will bring energy, companionship, and just the right amount of snuggles to her forever family!
