About Chanda
Hi my name is Chanda. I am a fun-Loving, Cheeky Girl that is one of Maggie's pups.
I was born in care on a VERY HOT night on 13 January 2025. Two of my littermates were DNA Tested and both came back with us being mostly Kelpie with a small percentage of Border Collie in our linage.
My foster carers sum my personality as being playful, energetic, and full of cheeky charm!
Chanda is a busy little girl with a big personality. She’s always on the go, full of energy, and ready for fun! She loves to play with her toys, running around with her big doggy friend, and absolutely adores kids—she's always up for a game.
She has been an inside/outside dog and sleeps in a dog enclosure inside at night. She has lived with three children (ages 10, 6, and 4) and gets along well with both large and small dogs.
Training & Needs:
Toilet training – She's improving every day!
Basic commands – She’s learning "sit" and "stay" but will need continued training.
Excitement jumping – She gets very excited and will need ongoing training to help with this.
What Chanda Needs in a Home:
• A family with another dog to play with would be ideal.
• She loves kids and would thrive in a home with children but would also do well in a kid-free home.
• A farm or active home would be amazing—she could even become a great working dog!
• A patient owner willing to continue her training and provide plenty of playtime and exercise.
If you’re looking for a fun, loving, and cheeky companion, Chanda is the perfect pup for you!
Chanda will be desexed on 5 April, had two vaccinations ( will need a booster) microchipped and flea and worm treated. She have been wormed regularly since being born. Chanda's adoption fee is $800.
Chanda will be ready to be formally adopted around the 8th of April 2025

Adoption details
We like to take the personal approach where a person sends an email of interest around an animal and then we will follow up with phone discussions and email exploration through a survey.
Please note we are a small group of volunteers that balances the administrative side with the care of the animals.
Please only apply for one of our animals if you are genuinely interested in them.
We expect the prospective owner to travel to meet the animal and we are open to trial periods to ensure we have the match right.
