About Frankie - 4 Year Old Dachshund
Frankie is a charming 4 year old male Dachshund with a heart full of love and a classic dashie personality. While he can be anxious, he is deeply loyal, clever, and thrives with the right amount of time, attention, and reassurance. Once he bonds with his humans, he becomes a devoted companion who just wants to be by your side.
Frankie has been working on his basic commands and is picking things up quickly, but he’ll need continued patience and care, especially when it comes to lead training. He isn’t fond of stairs, so a single-level home would be ideal for his comfort. Due to his severe separation anxiety, Frankie needs a family where his humans are home more often than not. He currently takes anxiety medication, but with time, love, and a stable routine and environment, he may be able to thrive with minimal support.
Frankie is happiest when playing with his ball or chewing on his rope toy, and loves to play with his humans.
To ensure Frankie’s happiness, he would do best as the only pet in the home and in a household without small children. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion and are willing to give him the love and care he needs, Frankie will reward you with endless devotion and cuddles.
Frankie is in foster care in Maitland, NSW, and is available for adoption interstate. His adoption fee is $700 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped.
