Meet Arthur, a stunning German Shepherd with a charming propensity for adorable head tilts. Born in July 2024, Arthur is still learning and uncovering the world around him. His curiosity to meet people shows his eagerness to connect and share love with those around him.

Arthur is excitable and full of energy, making him a perfect partner for outdoor adventures and new explorations. Being in the shelter environment has caused him some stress, contributing to over-arousal, but with love, patience, and the right training, he promises to be a well-rounded companion.

Arthur is in search of a special home, ideally with an experienced German Shepherd owner who understands his unique needs and energetic temperament. Training with Arthur will require dedication, but his sweet nature makes him a rewarding friend to work with. He will excel in a household where his intelligence is nurtured, and his energy is channeled into positive activities. Arthur does well with other dogs; while he lacks initial meeting manners, he has the potential to do very well with a suitable canine companion who can help him learn.

Unfortunately, Arthur has shown too much interest in cats, so a feline-free home would be best. Small children can be overwhelming for Arthur in his current unrefined state, so older children or adults only would be more suitable.

He knows some basic commands, such as "sit," but he will benefit greatly from further lead and command training to help him mature into his full potential.

Arthur is located at our Charmhaven Shelter. His $600 adoption fee covers, microchipping, desexing, lifetime registration, current vaccination, flea and worming treatments.
