About Chester
Are you wanting a gorgeous gentleman to steal your heart?
Well, that's me - my name is Chester and I am a 2 year and 5 month old Toy Poodle and I am looking for my furever family where we can share endless amounts of love and affection between us.
I have come into care as a rehome and I'm really learning to explore and love life
I weigh 6kgs and my dad says that he weighed me twice as I feel light as a feather!
My foster dad says that whilst I'm 2 and a half years old I love life and have a healthy energy level when I want to play.
I may be nervous when you first meet me but if you give me the time to be comfortable you will see my fun loving side come out!
So, I need to tell you a bit about me so that you will fall in love - and apply and make me part of your furever home.
Kids - My foster dad says absolutely! I adore kids and would thrive in a family home. I love when the skin kid nieces come over and I am gentle and clam with them and love to play or get cuddles from them. I would love a home with a kid or two and maybe even share their bed with them if allowed.
I do love the company of other dogs so would love a happy, friendly fur brother / sister.
I am not tested with cats and honestly not really sure how I would go - my gut is I would be fine but I don't think I would like their sharp nails if they didn't like me.
I’d love a family who will spend time with me each day – I don’t want to be home alone all day everyday by myself. I am also quite social, so am happy to come along on trips out with you.
I walk well on the lead and love a good social outing.
At nighttime, I like to sleep in my foster parent’s bed - I would love that to continue (or the kids better if I choose!)
I came into care needing my vet work completed and a good dental scale and clean - so the rescue made sure that was all done. I am so happy cause no one wants sore teeth or dental issues when they love food like I do!
I love dinner time and I have heard the humans mention something about offer me a treat and I will never say no....... but also something about if they wanted to teach me some more stuff I would learn quickly cause I love food!
I have also heard my foster dad say that I'm still in the puppy stage often so it has been known that I will go around the house picking up the things people leave down and giving them a little chew and can often be found on the bed.
I am toilet trained.
So if I'm asked to tell you about me I would say - I am an affectionate, playful, and loving furkid who would make the perfect family pet. I thrive on companionship and needs a home where I will get lots of love and attention. If you’re looking for a fun, kid-friendly pup who will bring joy and energy into your home, Chester (that's me) is the one for you!

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption - each bio will state if available for adoption - please check before applying.
