Meet Jenn,
Looking for a best friend who’s full of love, energy, and tail wags? This sweet young girl is ready to find her forever home – could it be with you?
Jenn is a happy-go-lucky pup who loves to explore, play, and spend time with her favourite people. She may be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she’s all about fun, affection, and snuggles! With her curious and excitable nature, every day with Jenn is sure to bring smiles, laughter, and plenty of happy zoomies.
She’s best suited for experienced owners who are committed to her ongoing training and development. A little patience and guidance now will reward you with a lifetime of loyalty, love, and a well-mannered dog.
Jenn would thrive in any household & would be a great choice for active people/families who love to stay on the move. She’s social, playful, and always up for an adventure – from park walks to backyard games, she’ll be your partner in fun!
Ideal Home: Jenn is suitable to live in a townhouse, standalone home or on a farm/acerage, with a medium to large yard & high, secure fencing.
Family: Jenn is open to meet kids of any age, but families with young children should be aware that she plays like a puppy (because she is still a puppy) and may unintentionally knock over smaller kids during playtime.
Jenn is content when it comes to spending time on her own, but she would love being included indoors with her new family. Jenn is best suited to live with people who work part-time hours - because she is still young, she will need someone dedicated to her training & development.
Furry Friends: Jenn is open to meet other dogs. During her dog assessment she was very excited to meet the other dog. She offered play bows and very much wanted to interact. She is a very happy girl who has puppy behaviour when it comes to playing with other dogs. She could go home with another dog providing the other dog is fine with her energy & puppy play style.
As we cannot test, we are unsure how Jenn would go living with or meeting cats/pocket pets. This would be up to the discretion of her new owners.
Training & Development: Jenn would benefit from post-adoption training such as training at home to cover basic commands/obedience. Group classes would also be good for Jenn so that she learns additional skills when it comes to meeting & interacting with other dogs. When Jenn meets you, she likes to say hello by jumping up to be closer to you, while it's not too bad, we are working with Jenn to correct this behaviour.
With time to settle & ongoing training, Jenn could be the type of dog that you could take to a dog friend café or social setting.
Jenn is still learning her name, but she knows commands such as: sit. Jenn is very food motivated and is known to be gentle when taking treats from you - so, having treats on you during training to mark good behaviour would be an excellent idea.
We always recommend post-adoption training whether it be at home or with a professional. Training doesn’t have to be a chore – it can be a fun experience for you both, it doesn’t have to take long & is a great way for you to bond with your new pal.
Play: Jenn has mid to high-range energy needs & would benefit from exercise, play, or walks from 30-60mins a day to keep her healthy & content. Jenn shows interest in playing with toys - she enjoys stuffed toys & personal play with her handlers.
Jenn walks well on lead and she is best to be walked on either a collar or harness.
Staff Comments: Jenn is suitable for most homes & lifestyles. She is a very sweet girl. She's a cute dog who, with a little training, could be a fantastic member of any family!

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
The adoption fee for dogs covers C5 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
