About Lola
Little Lola is sweet as pie! This four year old blue girl always greets her humans with a full body dance of joy when they return home, even if it’s just been 5 minutes! Not to worry though, despite her showgirl ways, she doesn’t mind waiting behind at home if there’s an errand to be run - in fact, she much prefers it! Give her a puzzle toy and the quiet comforts of home any day.
A “cafe dog” she is not, Lola is still gaining confidence out in the big wide world, and is very happy with just one walk a day along a peaceful trail or quiet park (so far she has decided she is not a big fan of noise, tunnels, bridges, or cyclists). At home she is a quirky and sweet girl who just loves to be around her people, she won’t demand your attention on a work from home day, especially if there are enrichment activities to do - but she will check in from time to time to see if you need a quick pat break.
Although currently living with another dog, Lola would be happy to be your one and only (so long as people are around more often than not for company). She is polite with other dogs on lead, and plays well, but more than anything she enjoys being with her human family.
Due to her soft and timid nature, Lola would prefer a house with a yard to play and zoom when she isn’t feeling up to a walk - and would love people whose perfect weekend plans are a lazy lay in, or binge watching the latest on Netflix after a trot through the local nature reserve/gardens to take in all the sniffs. The spoiled only child of an adult household sounds like a dream to Lola, soft beds in sunny corners to nap the day away, and she wouldn’t say no to a few treats and snuggles! If that sounds good to you too, Lola can’t wait to meet you.

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, some can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour.
As a result we look to rehome dogs into households where they are not left on their own for more than 4 hours per day on a regular basis, without either people or another dog for company. We are happy discuss strategies such as a dog walker or doggy day care. Going to work with you is also a great option

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
