Jake (aka JP) didn’t have the easiest start in life — he was left at a vet clinic as a tiny, unwanted kitten and heartbreakingly marked for euthanasia. But his story didn’t end there. A rescue stepped in just in time, and now this sweet boy is thriving in foster care and ready to find his forever family.

Jake is a gentle, affectionate soul who lives for belly rubs. His signature move? Flopping over on an empty lap with a hopeful look that says, “Rub my tummy, please?” He’s also got a soft spot for gourmet treats like prawns and steak — he knows how to enjoy the good life!

His playful side shines through when the ball toys come out, but he’s equally happy just purring at your feet or winding around your legs in appreciation. Jake has a calm, loving nature that makes him the perfect little companion.

He’s fantastic with respectful kids and gets along wonderfully with other cats. Because he’s so sociable, Jake would love a home with another friendly feline, or to be adopted with his brother Jasper (also available for adoption). While he hasn’t lived with dogs, his laid-back vibe suggests he’d likely settle in well with a gentle, cat-friendly pup after slow introductions.
