About Mercury
*In foster care in Drummoyne, Sydney*
Mercury is the ultimate sweetheart! Cuddly, playful, cheeky and polite, she's all the good stuff and more - basking in affection from her favourite humans, and giving it back tenfold :)
The ideal house cat, Mercury loves the simple pleasures of indoor life: from bird-spotting and neighbourhood-watching from the window, chasing bugs, and proudly announcing her arrival into a room, to reminding you excitedly about the best moments of the day (breakfast, dinner and treat time!).
She also likes to hide under the bed, but the promise of pats is always too strong to resist! She’ll often curl up under there quietly, then immediately come running out to say hi when she hears one of her foster humans moving around :)
Like all Maggie's pets, Mercury is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will be fairly calm and laidback - just like me! Although I adore pats and attention, I'm not overly clingy, and I can happily entertain myself while you're out for the day. I'll definitely greet you with cuddles and head bumps when you get home, though!
I'm not fussy about the type of home I live in either. House or apartment - it's all good!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Medium, I reckon. Toys are a bit of fun every now and then, but I mostly prefer to just laze around and snooze.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Though I haven't met any children, I'm really patient and love a pat, so chances are I'd like them!
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Hard to say, as I've been living the solo pet life in foster care.

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
