Ben is the goodest of good boys.  He has the best attitude about life and the sunniest disposition. Ben is a middle aged gentleman looking for his retirement home. He is friendly with everyone he meets as well as other dogs and cats. He loves car rides and any type of outing.. Ben would prefer a home with only adults living there. He’s ok with children but he would like to be the most important one and not have to share the attention with little children. Visiting children would be absolutely fine. Ben’s ideal home is where he can finally get the love and attention he deserves. Ben prefers the company of ladies. He is ok with men, but he would love a lady to follow around all day. This person must be active as he enjoys two good walks every day. Ben would prefer a person who works part-time or is retired so they can spend more time with him.
Ben is easy to have around but his biggest weakness is food! Unfortunately when he first came into care he was very overweight and his foster carer has been working hard to improve his health and get some extra kilos off. Since then his breathing is better and he is a much happier, healthier dog. His new home would need to monitor his weight closely and must not overfeed him as we cannot allow him to revert to his previous weight. (SAFE will have a clause included in the adoption agreement regarding ongoing weight management).

Our adoption process includes a two week trial period to ensure you and your adopted pet are the right fit. Successful applicants will be contacted for an interview and a property inspection (as it is vital we rehome our animals to a safe, secure and suitable home).

The adoption fee of $450 assists to cover the costs of desexing, microchip, microchip ownership transfer, flea and worm treatment, vaccinations, vet check and a fitted Harness.
