About Snowman
Snowman came to us after being trapped when trying to catch another cat at a foster carer’s home. He had nasty bite injuries on his face, and we couldn’t leave him to continue suffering on the streets. Snowman had no vet work done when found, and we suspect he was part of the “free to good home” kitten situation in the area.
Snowman is a pure white, stunning cat with amber eyes. Despite his traumatic past, he has shown great improvement in learning to trust humans. He’s still gaining confidence, but he has come a long way since his rough start.
Snowman has a gentle and sweet nature, and he is a loving companion to his foster family. He can still be a little shy at times, but with patience, he shows affection and enjoys spending time with his humans. He has developed a close bond with Grumparella, and they snuggle together in his crate, with Snowman sharing his food with her—a big step for him!
Snowman enjoys food, and his enthusiasm for meal times is second to none. Snowman is now quite confident and roams the house looking for friends to play with and food to be had. He likes to throw himself on the ground in front of his human and show his belly. Snowman also likes a gentle pick up and sit on your lap and to be fussed over and stroked and gently brushed.
He dislikes being left outside in the cat run, where he gets stressed and tries to escape. He feels much safer when enclosed, and a unit-style home would be ideal for him. Also, as Snowman is pure white, it’s important he stays indoors to protect him from the risk of skin cancer, which is common in white and light-colored cats.
Snowman has never lashed out but can startle easily and may run away in fear if he doesn’t know you. He is a calm boy, and his facial injuries have healed nicely with no other health issues at this time.
He’s good with other cats and gets along especially well with the kittens in his foster home. It’s unknown how he feels about dogs. As Snowman is still learning to trust, we recommend an adult-only home where he can continue to feel safe.
His current favourite thing to do is get on the bed or the couch and spend time with the humans!
Snowman is a healthy raw/high-quality fed cat who has been wormed, flea treated, vaccinated, desexed, and microchipped (microchip #953010007019811, source #RE101165). He is available for adoption right now!
