Lucky (On Trial)

Lucky went on trial on 10/7/11. Pls see our other dogs at www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au such as fred, eddy and matty. . . Lucky is one fantastic dog with lots of years left in him. He is friendly with other dogs and adores children. We have a busy, noisy household and lucky just goes with the flow, in fact nothing seems to faze him. Don’t let his age put you off: he has such an endearing personality, charming everyone he meets, he deserves a second chance. He will need sleep indoors as he really feels the cold. . . . Lucky was rescued from the pound where he was discovered with his fur very badly matted. He had to have it shaved but when it grows back it will required regular brushing and perhaps clipping. We're not sure of his breed, perhaps australian silky terrier and a bit of blue heeler?. . . He is a little bit hard of hearing but isn't easily startled and he gets along just fine. . . . Though he's 13 years we couldn't leave this sweet dog to die in the pound all alone. Lucky still has up to 5 years to live and so much love to give. We are willing to let him be adopted for only a small donation, such as $50, so he can have a loving home in his retirement. Alternatively, we are looking for a long term foster carer for him. He would be the perfect companion for a lonely older person or anyone who doesn't want to commit to a puppy for 15 years or more. . . . Lucky is in foster care in salamander bay, nsw (30 minutes north of newcastle in port stephens).
