About Roxy
Meet Roxy – The Shy Girl with a Heart of Gold
Roxy is a stunning domestic long hair tortoiseshell/calico beauty who’s as striking as she is endearing. While she may greet you with a little hiss or two (her default “I’m not so sure about this” response), it’s all bluff – she’s not aggressive, just cautious and habitual.
Rescued from the pound’s kill list, Roxy arrived in care terrified of everyone. With patience and kindness, she has blossomed into a playful, young cat who loves head/neck scritches as well as belly rubs from her trusted humans.
Roxy’s favourite pastimes include chasing feathery toys, enjoying yummy treats (especially Dine Creamy Treats), and romping with the other foster cats. She’s also happily coexisted with her foster dog siblings (both small Maltese x), showing she’s more social than she first appears once she’s comfortable.
Her ideal home will be one that’s patient and understanding, willing to give her time to settle. To help her adjust, Roxy will do best being kept in a smaller, secure area at first with limited hiding spots, so her new family can gently interact with her and build trust. Roxy loves other cats and will do well if adopted into a home with another friendly cat.
Once she feels safe, Roxy’s sweet, playful, and loving nature will shine – and you’ll be rewarded with the joy of earning the affection of a truly special cat.
