About Nelson STA013539
Meet Nelson, a sweet and soulful guy whose expressive face reveals a world of untold stories. Though he hasn't experienced much human love, Nelson is eager to embrace new beginnings, seeking the warmth and tenderness he truly deserves. His gentle demeanor and affectionate nature make him a perfect fit for a quiet household that cherishes no-fuss companionship.
Nelson may initially appear as a worried boy, but with patience, understanding, and the right environment, he will blossom. He thrives in a calm atmosphere with a regular routine, where he can gradually build trust and let his loving personality shine. Indoor life suits him well, given his FIV+ status, offering him safety and ample time to enjoy his beloved treats while basking in the comfort of a cozy home.
Though Nelson's past may be a mystery, his future is bright with the promise of love and tenderness. He needs a special home — one without children or dogs — that will allow him the space and time to feel safe and cherished. In return, Nelson will reward you with a heart full of gratitude and the kind of companionship only a truly affectionate cat can offer.
If you're ready to provide a nurturing environment for a remarkable cat, Nelson is eager to meet you and begin a journey of love and loyalty.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
