About Phoebe
Hey there, potential fur-ever family! I'm Phoebe, a super chill and absolutely gorgeous domestic medium-haired cat, and let me tell you, I'm not your average kitty. I've got all the charm and quirkiness of, well... me, Phoebe. If you're looking for a cat who's got that one-of-a-kind vibe, loves a good cuddle, and will keep you laughing (or purring), then I think you're in the right place.
Let's get one thing straight - I love my snuggles. I enjoy a nice, cozy spot on the couch (preferably with a heavily knitted blanket, because, you know, texture is important). I'll happily curl up with you while you binge-watch your favorite TV shows - hey, maybe we can even watch Friends together, so I can critique it with you. I'll be the first to tell you that I'm way more interesting than any of those other characters! ;)
When I'm not lounging around (because, like, I need to work on my relaxation skills), I love a good play session. Feathers on a stick? Count me in! I may look sweet, but I've got some major playful energy - gotta keep my reflexes sharp, you know? But once the fun is over, I'm all about the chill time.
I'd assume I am totally good with other pets as I'm super friendly, but don't worry - I'll never be the kind of cat who's up in your face all the time. I know the importance of boundaries (and I respect that), just like any true friend would. I'm also a big fan of having my own space, so if you've got a comfy little nook or a sunny windowsill, I'll be all over it.

Oh, and did I mention? I'm also a total sweetheart, with a sprinkle of sass - just like Phoebe Buffay, the legend herself.
P.S. I may sing a few songs from time to time, but don't worry, I'll spare you from my rendition of "Smelly Cat" unless you request it. 😉

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
