About Gordy/Gordon
My name is Gordy and I’m 11 months old.
I’m a shihtzu x Maltese and weigh 4.7kg
I was found as a stray! Can you believe it? And no one came looking for me. My microchip was registered to a pet store 🤯
I had to spend my time in a pound but no one came.
The pound reached out to this rescue group to help me with my basic medical needs and give me some time to decompress and work out what type of home I need.
Since been in foster care my foster mum has realised I’ve never been toilet trained!😳 so I’m using the belly band method which is working, but still a work in progress.
I will come with belly bands and my foster mum will explain to you how the process works.
So we are going to find a very special person that has the time and patience to help me get over this hurdle.
I love being inside and your little shadow. I love sitting on the couch with you and I’m hoping I can snuggle on the bed with you.
I’m great with other dogs. I would love another little small chilled mate but would be ok on my own if I have a human companion.
I’m a really great eater but don’t like kibble/dry food. And I don't think I’ve ever had a treat?
I do have grade 2 luxatting patalla on one back leg and a grade 3 on other.
He has been to our vet who has agreed with us that it isn’t systematic and he hasn’t shown any signs that they are affecting him.
Most little dogs that are born do have luxetting patella’s at some grade. And never affect them thru their whole lives.
The best advice is to make sure they don’t put on too much weight in their lifetime.
Gordy is on the Gold Coast

Adoption details
We shortlist and contact families who may fit the dogs needs. If indications are positive, normally after sleeping on it, a home check is organised, then an adoption agreement is completed, adoption donation (variable on account of age and health of individual dog) is transferred and the dog will become part of your family.
All our dogs have had a consultation with our vet, are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and treated for fleas. As we want every dog to be in its own family we try and fit dogs into forever homes, we don’t offer “Trials”. Naturally unforeseen circumstances arise occasionally where it’s preferable dogs come back to us as per our adoption agreement.
