About Donatella
Donatella is a smart, energetic girl who is ready for a hound experienced family who can guide her with patience and consistency as she continues to learn and grow. Whilst she isn't fully house-trained, Donatella is very food-motivated, making her an excellent candidate for training and enrichment.
Donatella will do best in an adults/older teen home with no other pets and with a family who is usually around to keep her company. A large backyard with secure hound-proof fencing is a must so she has plenty of room to stretch her legs, play, and explore. She's what we like to call a "project dog" - full of potential but needing time, training, and commitment to bring out her very best. With activities like puzzle toys, walks, and positive training, she will thrive and become a loyal, loving companion.
If you have the right experience, a secure space, and the heart to invest in her, Donatella will reward you with endless love, laughter, and adventures by your side.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
