About Monty
***i’m not yet ready for adoption but i’m happy for my new family to apply for me***
every animal that ends up in rescue has their own story, their own adventures and quirks that come with them. Beautiful monty is no exception to this rule. Monty has been in foster care for several months now; he arrived in care with shocking ear infections, a wandering jew allergy and was highly stressed at losing his family. Monty had been a loved family pet until a change in family circumstances and he did not understand what was going on and why all these changes have taken place. Everyone here at brv felt that we could see the lovable rouge that existed under all of this stress so the decision to keep monty in foster care for an extended amount of time was made to give him every chance possible. Well it’s nearly monty's time for his forever family to come out and find him. Monty is firm friends with harry and although we would love to see the boys go off together to a fantastic family’s couch we realise that may not be a possibility so instead we know exactly what kind of family monty is looking for!
monty must be an indoor dog and is best suited to living with a female beagle of a similar age or a male beagle that it not dominant and happy for the 2 of them to spend their day’s sunbaking or relaxing inside! monty can be the fun police at times and doesn’t settle for silliness of younger beagles! he is a serious boy when you first get to meet him but once he settles around you he will show you how loving he can be. Monty was hit by a car when he was younger and limps from time to time but this causes no issues on his day to day life (he has been fully vet checked and all medical records are avaliable) and once he learnt how to play in the first few months in foster care it became apparent nothing can stop his zest for life!
monty has grown up with children and another dog but we would like to see monty with a stay at home family/retired family or work from home family who will include him in every part of their life. He has gained a lot of confidence but will still need time to settle into a new home and with a new family and we will be there to help you and monty adjust every step of the way. Monty has grown into a loving larrikin who keeps his foster brother in line, makes his foster mum laugh on a daily basis and helps remind us all why rescue is such an important part of the animal world. If you think you can help monty on the rest of his journey please visit our website www. Beaglerescuevic. Org and download an application form, believe me when i tell you monty is worth the wait, thank you
