About Padme and Miyagi
*In foster care in Manly, Sydney*
Padme and her brother Miyagi are the ultimate love bugs! Found abandoned in a box, terribly sick, these two little warriors have already endured so much together - but thanks to dedicated care, a little luck and a lot of fight, they've pulled through.
While they both now have restricted vision, nothing has held them back from being the happiest, most loving kittens you'll ever meet! And just look at them: tiny angels with big bushy tails and the softest, floofiest chests. When their little glazed and scarred eyes look up at you with pure love, it will melt your heart.
They’re completely smitten with each other, too. Miyagi’s eyesight is slightly worse than Padme’s, so he follows her lead, trusting her to guide him through the world. If they ever get separated in their foster carers' flat, they’ll cry until they find each other again. While their carers are at work, they can see them snuggled up together on their cat cam :) It’s the sweetest bond ever!
But don’t be fooled - these two rascals play as hard as they love! They're absolute hellions, zooming around like tiny tornados, chasing and jump-scaring each other, and wrestling like mini jungle cats. When the feral energy hits, they're on a mission of destruction (but the cutest kind!).
And when the madness dies down? They’re SUPER affectionate - get ready for the snuggliest cuddles of your life! If they could crawl inside your skin, they would. They must be on top of you at all times - cuddles are non-negotiable :) They follow you wherever you go and like to be involved in all activities. They love to make biscuits, and their purrs are ridiculously loud (their carers like to think it’s their way of saying thanks!). Their favourite sleeping positions involve flopping down with their legs stretched out straight back, completely unbothered and totally adorable.
Padme and Miyagi just need someone to take a chance on them. Someone who sees past what they’ve been through and is excited to let these little souls become part of their family. Could that someone be you?
Like all Maggie's pets, Padme and Miyagi are microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

OUR IDEAL HOME: We're pretty low-maintenance, really! All we need is for our new human, couple or family to be patient and gentle with us, and have time for regular play and snuggles. We're quite OK in each other's company during the day, but we definitely look forward to hearing your key in the door!
OUR ENERGY LEVEL: As tweens, we can get quite chaotic! Our mischief-making runs from ambitious jumps that may or may not end up landing on your head, to splashing in running water (we're slightly obsessed with the shower). For a while our foster carers couldn’t understand why their laundry was spread around the living room or how whole toilet rolls would go missing… then they realised we like to carry things around in our mouths, a bit like dogs!
But it's not all fun and games. We love to chill out on the sofa or snuggle with you in bed just as much as we love running amok :)
OUR SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Though we haven't met any kids yet, we reckon we'd like children who'll treat us kindly and who understand that we can't see very well.
OUR SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: We'd both enjoy living with another cat, and potentially a cat-friendly dog too!
Medical notes
Padme and Miyagi both have eye scarring and limited vision due to severe eye infections upon intake. They are otherwise healthy.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
