About Night Rider
*In foster care in Petersham, Sydney*
Wearing a silky black coat as soft as his personality, Night Rider is hands-down one of the sweetest, gentlest cats his foster carer has met!
As his name suggests, he tends to hibernate somewhere cosy for most of his day, before emerging in the late afternoon for his dinner and to catch up on the household goss :) Of an evening he gets down to the serious business of play - chasing his ball toy or the laser, romping around with his feline foster sibling or attacking the wand toy. He loves it when you join in the fun and games!
Though he's still adjusting to indoor life and isn't currently a fan of loud noises or sudden movements, Night Rider is a cuddle bug at heart. He can often be heard purring away while he's snoozing (his favourite spot is inside the cat tower), and once he's feeling comfortable with you he loves to get nice and close - accepting strokes and chin scratches, and happily rolling over for tummy rubs. Offer him a creamy treat and you'll have a BFF (Best Feline Friend) for life!
Like all Maggie's pets, Night Rider is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will be on the quieter side, at least initially. I have a feeling I'll adapt to normal household activities once I've settled in and realised I'm safe :)
I'm currently living with an older cat in foster care, and she's great, so I reckon I'd love a permanent kitty playmate to bond with.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I'm the perfect mix of playful and relaxed. My energy levels definitely tend to ramp up in the evenings, but don't worry - I don't do crazy zoomies in the dead of night!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: A calm, adults-only family will suit me best, but older kids of at least high school age (12+) might be OK.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I've had a great experience with cats in foster care and would be happy to live with other gentle ones!
I haven't has the chance to meet any dogs yet.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
