About Ripley
*In foster care in Homebush West, Sydney*
Believe it or not, Ripley hasn't always been the pampered and playful little guy he is today! Less than a month ago he'd never met a human - but now he's a fiend for pats and treats, with his confidence growing in (literal) leaps and bounds!
More a gentle bookworm than a party bro, Ripley has a sweet and loving personality that shines brighter every day. Breakfast and dinner times are his favourite - you'll hear his chirps of excitement as he makes a beeline for his food bowl! And any trips to the kitchen are a team sport, as he trots along behind you hoping for a snack :)
Ripley adores any and all toys, but even better if it's got a bell. He's happy to entertain himself, though he does like it when you join in on the fun and games too! He also loves to explore, investigating behind cupboards or climbing to the top of bookshelves on the hunt for something new to play with.
This darling boy is currently in foster care with other cats, and will thrive in a permanent home with another cat or two to keep him company and help him become his most confident self!
Like all Maggie's pets, Ripley is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will be with at least one other friendly cat who I can play and bond with. My feline foster siblings have been such a great support to me, and help me to realise how lucky I am to be safe, warm and off the streets!
My perfect new human/s will be kind and patient, for as long as it takes me to settle in and get comfortable in my new surroundings. Currently at night I enjoy sleeping in the bathroom sink (it's so lovely and cool!), but I might be open to sleeping with you on the bed if you'll let me?
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Pretty typical for a kitten, I'd say! I have super-active moods where I'll zoom around with my foster sibs or play with toys with my foster human, but they're always followed by a nice long nap. I'm very quiet overnight, and I don't stress when I'm left home alone.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Though I haven't met any kids yet, I do find new people a bit scary... I usually freeze, or run and hide when I meet one. But I think I could live quite happily with gentle, cat-savvy children who'll understand it may take some time to gain my trust.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I'm really good with cats - playing well with ones who are into it, and respecting the boundaries of ones who aren't!
At this stage I'm untested with dogs.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
