About Mr Bobinsky
Bob has the typical sphynx personality – a crazy fun guy to have around! He loves rubbing his face all over his foster carer’s face and will often be found hitching a ride on her back. Bob loves all toys and will play for hours with you chasing the laser pointer. At meal time getting attention from his foster carers is more important to Bob than eating. Coraline is a sweet gentle young lady. She loves pats and really loves her food! Coraline is a calmer cat, playing like a lady, not as crazy as her brother. A little timid when she first meets you but quickly warms up to new people. Bob and Coraline do love each other and we are hoping to rehome them together.
At Little Paws we take seriously the care of our foster cats, from health checks to finding them the best homes for their needs/personalities. Bob and Coraline have just been to see Dr Marcus, the Cat Specialist at the Cat Clinic Mt Gravatt, for a general health check. After they arrived into care they both showed signs of flu. Typically, this indicates that as kittens they were exposed to flu and the stress of moving home brings out flu like symptoms. Coraline has always sounded snuffly however that has improved greatly over time now she is happy in her foster home.
We have a printout of their health check to show to families who come to meet them. Their health checks show that Coraline has noisy breathing and they both have slight discharge from their right eye. Both have good strong sounding hearts! Dr Marcus said they are both in great condition and all good for adoption! Before you express your interest in adopting just a few things to consider:
• Bob and Coraline seem quite bonded, and we are hoping to find them a home together
• Bob is not a fan of other cats so ideally, they would be your only feline family members, a quiet outside dog should be ok
• Sphynx cats, like many pedigree cats, can have a greater risk for health issues which can result in high vet bills. Sphynx cats can develop a heart condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (however as Dr Marcus explained there are more sphynx cats that don’t develop this and live long happy, healthy lives) Like many cats they may also require regular dentals.
• They are a breed that requires a lot of care with regular bathing, eye and ear cleaning and a good quality diet
• Sphynx cats are a high energy breed needing lots of interactive play and attention from their owners.
So, if you think you would like to welcome these cuties into your family please do some research on the breed first. I love this breed and couldn’t imagine life without a sphynx cat, but this is not a breed for everyone! The regular grooming, expensive food and vet bills and their crazy high energy can all contribute to why some sphynx cats find their way to rescue groups. Have a read of this article:

If you think you are the right home for Mr Bobinsky and his best friend Coraline please send us an email to karen.howardlp@gmail.com. Tell us a bit about your home and why you think you would be a good fit for these crazy cats! Because of the cyclone we will now be looking at next weekend for their meet and greets.
All Little Paws Kitten Rescue cats and kittens come to you vet checked, desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, flea treated, and litter trained. As we are a rescue group, the adoption fee is not negotiable. Little Paws Kitten Rescue cats and kittens are indoor or cat enclosure only and must go to homes that intend them to stay that way. This is for their safety, the health of the cat or kitten and for the environment. It is our foster carer’s choice as to which home a cat or kitten goes to. We match the cats and kittens to the adoptee; we do not necessarily “sell” to the first caller. As our foster carers are all volunteers raising the cats and kittens in their own home, we would appreciate you letting them know if you cannot make an appointment.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
