About Dali
Meet Dali, a gentle and friendly German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) mix looking for her new family. She was born on 13 November 2023 and weighed 26 kgs when she was desexed on 13 February 2025.
Despite an uncertain start and ending up in the pound, she has won the heart of her foster carers and everyone who's met her since coming into care.
True to her breed, Dali is very intelligent, full of energy and blessed with a warm and gentle personality. She is well-mannered, attentive and very keen to learn. Those characteristics, coupled with an innate desire to please her humans, indicate that she will make an excellent companion and playmate for an active family or individual.
She enthusiastically plays with the other dogs in her foster home, but has not yet been tested with cats.
She is a bit strong on the lead, especially at the outset when she’s excited.
If you're in search of a gentle, devoted companion who will be by your side through all of life's adventures, Dali is the perfect match.
She's not suited to solitary life in the backyard and will do best in a home where someone is around most of the time and/or she has a suitable canine companion.

Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the “meet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
Cats:
If you are interested in one of our cats or kittens, please click on the green "Enquire about ...", button, tell us a bit about yourself and the home you can offer the cat, and one of our volunteers will be in touch.
