About Gretel
Say hello to little Miss Gretel, 3.4 kgs of adorable, sweet-tempered Chihuahua lap dog. She was born on 4 September 2023. She is pictured with her brother and littermate Hansel, who's also available for adoption.
Her doting foster mum Lyn says that Gretel is as charming as she is cuddly. Gretel adores being close to her special human and in her foster home she quickly singled out Lyn as "hers". Although she's happy to share the love with her foster dad Peter, her happiest place is on Lyn's lap or with her head on Lyn's pillow in bed at night.
Needless to say, Gretel bonds quickly and forms strong attachments, showing her loyalty with gentle cuddle sessions. Her dedication is most evident when she's napping gently on your lap. Canine intruders will get a polite, yet clear, low growl of a warning that this lap belongs to her.
Gretel gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home, but she has a strong preference for human company. Although untested with children, she has an agreeable and adaptable temperament that suggests she'd be fine with children who have good dog manners.
An ideal lap and bed dog, Gretel is perfect for those who want a devoted companion to fill their days with canine love. So if you're looking for a loyal, smiley little sweetheart to brighten your life, Gretel could be the perfect choice for you.
