About Venus
🐾 Venus — The Goddess of Love, Back to Find Her True Forever Home
Beautiful Venus has found herself back in our care through no fault of her own, after her family was impacted by the current housing crisis. She was adopted from SCA about a year ago, and in that time she has grown into one of the most affectionate, people loving cats we’ve ever met. Now she’s ready to try again for the stable, loving home she truly deserves.
💖 Personality — Pure Love, Pure Snuggles
Venus is exactly what her name promises: a total sweetheart with a heart full of affection. She adores being close to her humans — curled up on the couch for movie nights, snuggled in bed for a cosy sleep, or perched on your lap while you enjoy your morning coffee. She’s a cat who chooses connection, and she’ll happily initiate cuddles all day long.
She’s playful too, both independently and with her people. Her favourite games involve chasing rolling toys like squeaky mice or little plastic balls with bells. Wand toys can make her a bit unsure at first, but with slow, gentle play she warms up and joins in.
👧👦 Kids
Venus loves humans of all ages and is wonderfully affectionate with children. She’s a confident, social girl who enjoys pats, snuggles, and being part of the action. The only thing she’s not a fan of is being “dangle carried” by little ones — she’ll wriggle away if grabbed or held awkwardly. With respectful handling, she’s an absolute gem.
🐱 Other Cats & 🐶 Dogs
Venus has lived with multiple cats before and gets along well, but she’s also a girl who knows her boundaries. She’ll stand her ground if needed and may be happiest with calmer feline companions rather than high energy or confrontational cats. She’s still unsure about dogs — she’ll watch them from a safe distance but prefers not to interact. A dog free home or a very calm, cat savvy dog would be best.
🏡 Home Life
Venus is beautifully settled in the home environment. She’s happy to snooze in her favourite cat tower or soft bed while you’re out for a few hours, and she can be a little territorial about her chosen spots — especially her beloved, well worn cat tower. It’s part of her charm. She’s a great eater, drinks well, and has excellent litter habits.
💫 Ready for Her Second Chance
Venus is a loving, loyal, snuggly companion who will fill your home with warmth and affection. She’s looking for a stable, caring family who’ll cherish her for the long haul and give her the secure life she deserves. If you’re searching for a devoted cuddle buddy with a heart of gold, Venus is ready to meet you. Medical Notes:
Venus tested negative for FIV/FeLV and has been an inside only kitty since. She should be kept inside or in an enclosure to keep her (and the wildlife!) safe and healthy.
PLEASE NOTE THAT SCA DOES NOT CONDONE ROAMING CATS – when applying to adopt our cats, it is expected that they will be kept as an indoor only cat and/or in a suitable outdoor enclosure.
All applications will be assessed for suitability and compatibility. Approved adoptions will commence with a two week trial, after which time the adoption will be final and the microchip will be transferred to you.
