Do you like dogs with squishy faces?
Do you like dogs that make you laugh?
Do you like dogs that make you feel safe when you’re home alone?
Do you like big boof head dogs who think they’re lap dogs?
Well then meet Chilli!!
She came into care with 9 puppies in tow, but once they went off to their homes she has quickly realised how good life can be as a solo dog. She particularly loves scratches under her chin.
Chilli is a pretty chilled out doggo, she enjoys snoozing on her bed (or yours), snoozing on the couch, snoozing in the sun….you get the picture! Her foster carers work from home and she spends most of the day sleeping on her bed next to the desk.
She is the perfect mix of playful and snuggly. She loves to go outside on her own after dinner and throw her toys around the backyard but then come back inside and chill out on the couch.
Since being in care she had learnt how to sit, drop and is working on stay. She is a smart cookie.
She loves a walk and a sniff. When she arrived, she was reactive to other dogs on leash. Her foster carers have been doing some work with her on this via formal training, and she has significantly improved, but her new humans will need to continue this training to make her the best dog she can be.
Chilli sleeps like a trooper overnight – she can easily last 10-11 hours without a toilet break and even longer if it is raining outside when you get up in the morning.
She loves her food. She isn’t destructive of human things, but loves to de-fluff toys with squeakers in them. She also takes treats very gently.
She is happy enough to be left at home on her own and currently has access inside/outside via a dog door when home alone.
She has been introduced to other dogs, but currently lives as an only dog which we think she would enjoy being the centre of attention.
Chilli has a really great bark on her – useful for deterring people from coming into your yard that you may not want.
She travels beautifully in the car and settles down really quickly in the backseat
Chilli is $350 to adopt and comes desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated, heartworm tested (negative), and given flea/tick/worm prevention.
