About Tom
Tom is a new fellow at our shelter. He comes across as a very cool dude with a not-to-be-sneezed-at presence of 4.5 kgs, however he's a gentle, loveable giant. Tom is blessed with an easy-going, casual disposition - quiet and no fuss is his style. He certainly has the right looks - he is a stunning tuxedo cat (in grey and white), with large, yellow eyes and a cute dark, grey nose. He is a most delightful lap-cat and will shadow his special person for company inside the home. Please read on to discover what Tom needs are:-
CARE - Tom is in very good health and with loving care from his new human and a nutritious diet, he has many wonderful years (approx. 10 years) ahead of him. A nutritious diet is one with high-quality dry biscuits, delicious servings of wet food and many sources of fresh, cool water to maintain his hydration. Visits to the vet for check-ups are also essential.
HOME AND FRIENDS - Tom can be a shy fellow initially and therefore would benefit from a "launch room". This is a comfortable space that he can retreat to if he feels overwhelmed. Any children at home would be older ones, who would respect his needs. He has previously lived with another cat and a small dog, however due to Tom's shyness, his new guardian needs to have patience and tolerance to bring him into the family.
ENVIRONMENT - An indoor lifestyle for Tom is a must as he has always been an inside cat. The RSPCA deems that outside isn't a safe place for a cat due to there being many dangers that will shorten his life. Most cats have an instinct to kill wildlife and it's necessary for their cat guardians to be responsible and protect the fauna at all costs. Entertainment inside his home can be a couple of large cat scratcher trees near a window and also where the family gathers. Of course, there are also cardboard boxes and toys. And your cuddles!!! His adoption price includes: A FREE 2kg bag of ROYAL CANIN dry food His desexing, microchip and vaccinations Adoption Price: $185 If you think he might be the perfect fit for your family, please fill out an adoption application today! www.rspcaqld.org.au/apply-to-adopt
